Build block by block
Drag parts out to any size, snap them onto a precise grid, mirror whole sides, group them, and undo anything.
EditorProject Avion
A sandbox where your machines obey physics, from the first block to the last bolt that flies off.
In-game features
No preset vehicles, no pretend physics. You decide what the thing is, and the world decides whether it works.
Drag parts out to any size, snap them onto a precise grid, mirror whole sides, group them, and undo anything.
EditorLift and drag are worked out from the shape you built. A wing flies because it is a wing.
PhysicsEngines, servos, pistons, bearings, suspension, tracks, and gears that mesh and turn each other.
MechanicsWire sensors into logic, switches and buttons. Build an autopilot, a turret that tracks its target, a door that opens itself.
LogicWaves, buoyancy, wakes and splashes. A hull floats on the air trapped inside it, so shape matters.
WaterBlocks take damage, crack and break away. Crash hard and the ground takes a dent too.
DamageBuild side by side with friends, then race, fight or fly formation with what you made.
TogetherBuilding
The editor is built to stay out of your way. Here is how a build comes together.
Pick a block and pull it out to the size you need: a beam, a plate, a whole hull, in one drag. Everything sits on a precise grid, so parts meet cleanly.
Switch to the blueprint view to see how your machine connects. Link engines to wheels and sensors to logic by drawing a line.
Select a part to open its settings: engine power, steering, suspension, the keys that drive it. Small changes, big differences.
Turn on the test wind and watch how the build reacts before it ever leaves the ground.
Every creation goes into your library with a picture and its versions, ready to load back in a couple of clicks.
Planets
Take off from a planet's surface and keep climbing until the sky turns black. Planets are round, with their own gravity and air, and the space around them is full of things to fly to.
Modding
Project Avion is built to be modded. Write Lua scripts that add blocks, tools, maps, interfaces, sounds and effects, with no game engine to install.
-- scripts/main.lua: a panel in the corner of the screen
log.info("Hello from", mod.name)
local panel = ui.panel{ anchor = "top-right", padding = 12 }
panel:style{ ["border-radius"] = "6px" }
panel:addNew("Label", {
text = "My first mod is running!",
style = { color = "#f59e0b" },
})
-- F7 shows and hides it
input.bind("F7", function()
panel:set("visible", not panel:get("visible"))
notify.toast("Panel toggled")
end)
Windows PC
Project Avion is in development, and the closed alpha is open for applications. Be among the first to fly.
