Questions

Frequently asked

When is Project Avion coming out?

Project Avion is in development and heading to Steam. The store page is coming soon; the Steam buttons on this site will take you straight to it once it is live. Until then you can apply for the closed alpha.

Can I play it now?

Yes, if you are invited to the closed alpha. Apply on the playtest portal; we invite testers in small waves and email you a one-time invite key. The playtest page explains how it works.

The launcher asks for my license key, or says my license is unavailable.

Your key came with your invite, and is also in the license.vilic file next to the launcher. If the launcher says the license is used on too many computers, deactivate an old one (Settings → License in the launcher on that computer) or email us to free the slot. If it says the license is suspended or revoked, email us.

Where are the launcher's logs?

In the Logs folder next to the launcher: launcher.log for this session, launcher_prev.log for the one before. The launcher's Settings → Troubleshooting shows them and packs them into a zip you can attach to an email.

Which platforms will it run on?

Project Avion is being made for Windows PC. System requirements will be listed on the Steam page.

How do I report a bug?

Use the bug report helper below. It puts everything we need into an email for you. Attaching your Player.log helps most; the section after the helper shows where to find it.

Where does the game keep my mods?

In the game's main menu, open Mods and press Open mods folder. The folder is:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Ivyture\Project Avion\Mods
A mod asks for permissions. Is that safe?

Mods run in a sandbox and can only use what the game offers. Anything risky has to be allowed by you first, and you can revoke it at any time in Mods. Read more in Security and permissions.

I can't join my friend's game.

Make sure you both run the same version of the game. If the host uses mods, accept the download when the game asks, because the mods are part of that world. If it still fails, send us both players' Player.log files.

Can I make mods?

Yes. Mods are written in Lua and need nothing but the game and a text editor. Start with the getting started guide.

How do I get my data deleted?

Write to support@ivyture.com and we will delete what we hold: your emails, and if you applied for or joined the playtest, your application, license and activated computers (write from the address you applied with). Crash reports can be deleted in the game under Settings → Privacy. See the privacy notice.

Bug report helper

Fill this in and we open an email with everything in the right place. Remember to attach your Player.log.

Nothing is sent or stored by this website: the report goes into your own email app, or your clipboard.

Log files

Finding your Player.log

The game writes a log of each session. It is the single most useful thing you can send us.

This session and the one before

Player.log is the latest session, Player-prev.log the one before it. After a crash, send both.

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Ivyture\Project Avion\Player.log
