Closed alpha

Fly it before anyone else

Project Avion is in closed alpha. We are inviting players in small waves to build, crash and break the newest builds, and to tell us what to fix next.

How it works

From application to take-off

Apply

Tell us a little about yourself and the PC you play on, on the playtest portal. It takes two minutes.

Sign, get your invite

We invite testers in small waves. If you are picked, playtest@ivyture.com emails you a personal link to the playtest agreement. Sign it online and your one-time invite key arrives straight away.

Download the launcher

Redeem the key on the portal. You get the Project Avion launcher with your personal license already inside.

Play, and tell us everything

Start the launcher. It activates on your computer, installs the game and keeps it up to date with every new build.

What you need

  • A Windows PC (64-bit Windows 10 or 11)
  • About 10 GB of free disk space
  • An internet connection to install, update and check your license
  • A graphics card that can handle a 3D game; full system requirements come with the Steam page

What we ask of you

  • Play the way you like, and push things until they break
  • Tell us what broke, what confused you and what you loved
  • Keep your invite and license to yourself, and what you see in the builds confidential until we show it
  • Expect rough edges: these are work-in-progress builds, and they change often

Playtest questions

Good to know

Who can join?

Anyone aged 18 or older can apply. We invite a few testers at a time, so it may take a while before it is your turn, and we cannot invite everyone. You need a Windows PC to play.

How will I hear back?

By email, only if you are invited, from playtest@ivyture.com: first a personal link to sign the playtest agreement, then, as soon as you have signed, your invite key and a copy of what you signed. Check your spam folder if you are waiting. Each invite key works once and expires after a couple of weeks.

Is there an NDA?

Yes. Before your invite, you sign two short documents online: the Playtest Terms (what you may do with the builds, and what we are and are not responsible for) and the Confidentiality Agreement. In short: you may say that you are testing, but the builds and everything you see in them stay confidential until we publish them, so no screenshots, videos, streams or leaks unless we say a build may be shown. Please read both before you apply.

How many computers can I play on?

Your license works on up to 2 computers. To move to a new one, open the launcher's Settings → License and choose Deactivate this computer on the old one first. If that computer is gone, email us and we will free the slot.

Can I play offline?

Yes, for a while. The launcher checks your license when it starts. Without internet it still starts the installed game for up to 7 days after the last successful check.

I lost my license key, or the launcher asks for it again.

Email support@ivyture.com from the address you applied with. We can send your key again, or a new invite if you need to download the launcher once more.

Can I share the launcher or my key?

Please don't. Your license is personal and bound to your own computers, so a shared copy will not activate for anyone else, and it may use up your device slots.

How do I report a bug?

In the launcher, Settings → Troubleshooting packs your launcher logs for an email. For problems in the game itself, use the bug report helper and attach your Player.log. Every report helps.

What does the launcher know about me?

Your name and email from the application, and for each computer you activate: its name, its operating system, an anonymous hardware fingerprint, and the IP address it connects from. The privacy notice explains why and for how long.
